Pantone’s newest tool offers the inside scoop on color
The Pantone Color Insider gives a “pulse check” on what’s happening in color around the world and seamless workflow integration with Pantone Connect.
CARLSTADT, N.J. — Pantone has launched the Pantone Color Insider, a trend intelligence service, as an added feature within its Pantone Connect digital platform.
The Color Insider offers more access to expert trend forecasts and insights from the Pantone Color Institute and a “pulse check” on what’s happening in color around the world. Pantone said the new tool works seamlessly with Pantone Connect.
“For the creative community color is pivotal from the design and mood boarding process to the raw materials that go into the product and finally to the packaging it leaves the store in, so providing critical color intelligence to help guide these decisions is crucial,” Pantone said in a release.
The weekly Color Insider will include:
- Expert Trend Insights: Strategic color information and a long-term look at the influences that will affect color in the future inclusive of macro trends, seasonal trends and essential color stories that are relevant and trending.
- Color Education: Foundational color knowledge to guide color usage including color theory, palette creation, psychology, color and mood, product and brand color selection approach, forecasting trends.
- A global color data tool that provides a quantitative look and “pulse check” on what’s happening in color around the world. This includes topline data that highlights color use across industries and cities, which help inform designers about trending colors and color usage of their peers across design.
- Seamless workflow integration with Pantone Connect, allowing users to create palettes from the content and translate into mood boards and work they currently have on the platform.
Access to Pantone Color Insider’s limited content and basic palette-building is free. Paid options include a premium subscription of Pantone Color Insider that contains the full suite of trending articles and information, or a bundle of Pantone Color Insider and Pantone Connect which contains a full suite of trend and data features as well as workflow and collaboration tools.
