Dallas Market Center to highlight outdoor lighting and designer education in January
DALLAS – This January, Dallas Market Center will expand its designer-focused programming at Total Home & Gift Market and Lightovation, with panels, mixers and a dedicated Design + Build Day.
The events for the market (Jan. 7-13) kick off on Jan. 7 with an afternoon mixer for designers (starting at 2 p.m., LUXE Design, Trade Mart 1). Hosted by ASID, ART and IDS, the event will allow designers to connect and network.
The LUXE Design section on Trade Mart 1 offers designers a curated collection of high-design home accents, client gifts, tabletop items and more, from such exhibitors as B’s Knees, Don Lino, Nancy Brown Home, Oh My Mahjong!, Texan Christmas and others.

The following day, Jan. 8, will feature special programming focused on interior design content, including showroom tours, panel discussions and special events. Interior designer Heather Fujikawa of House Sprucing will lead the Hidden Gems Tour to uncover unique finds and insider favorites in IHDC and WTC, ending in LUXE Design Temps. The starting point for the tour is outside Coco & Dash’s IHDC 1D106 booth at 2 p.m.
That evening, Uttermost and MC Studio will host expansion parties ahead of the 36th ARTS Awards gallery preview party with Heart on Main Street.
A Secret Box Brunch will be held on Friday, Jan. 9 at 11 a.m. in the LUXE Design TM 1. The first 50 buyers to attend will be able to enjoy bites, mimosas and a curated gift bag with exclusive goodies from select LUXE exhibitors.
The first day of Lightovation (Jan. 10) will dedicate designer programming to outdoor lighting through tours, panels and demonstrations. That includes the new exterior lighting exhibit, Exteriorscape, a showcase of exterior lighting options from 10 brands. Aiming to inspire and educate, Exteriorscape will include panel discussions from top landscape design talent to share how trends in landscaping design and client preferences are impacting exterior lighting solutions.
Design + Build Day will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13, bringing expert insights, trend inspiration and access to the latest innovations in residential lighting to designer attendees. Programming will include keynotes, panels, showroom tours and networking.
