ICFF lays out plans for 2026 show

NEW YORK – The International Contemporary Furniture Fair, which will take place in New York in May, has lined up new collaborations and programs and a theme of “Common Ground” for 2026.

The show will take place May 17-19, 2026, at the .

The Common Ground theme means designers can offer diverse perspectives and shared values, said show organizer Emerald.

‘By weaving together tradition and innovation, handcraft and digital process, intuition and analysis, designers offer new models for living well while staying rooted in shared values,” it said.

ICFF will explore these ideas through an expanded talks program, next-generation exhibition categories, and a continued emphasis on emerging talent.

Other show highlights

ICFF is collaborating with the Mayfair Design District, a creative cluster of galleries, auction houses and luxury brands in London’s Mayfair neighborhood. They will present “Bespoke: The Art of Making,” a showcase dedicated to craftsmanship and custom design.

“MDD brings its influential London perspective to New York, enriching the experience and uniting master artisans, storied brands, and rising makers,” ICFF said in a release.

ICFF is also expanding Wanted, its incubator for emerging talent. In 2026, it will introduce Launch Pad, the Look Book Lounge, the Design Schools Workshop and the Schools Showcase, all with various sponsors and media partners.

Returning programs & features

ICFF has reimagined and enhanced several core programs:

  • Mainstage: An elevated lineup of global speakers on material innovation, sustainability, cultural storytelling, hospitality, and technology.
  • The Oasis: A space to relax, meet, and host a series of intimate talks spotlighting sustainability, innovation, and human-centered design.
  • Aqua Atelier by Grohe: An exploration of sustainable water practices and new materials within the Kitchen & Bath pavilion, including conversations led by industry experts.
  • Rarify Dining Lounge in partnership with Be Original Americas: A destination celebrating authenticity and contemporary craft through shared meals and conversation.
  • ICFF Editors Awards: Honoring excellence across product categories and disciplines, highlighting standout work and emerging voices. The awards take place on May 17th at 5 p.m.

ICFF’s new charity partner is Habitat for Humanity New York City and Westchester, launching a new program that supports Habitat’s work to expand access to permanently affordable homeownership and advance equitable housing solutions.
