Designer Cortney Bishop unveils new lighting with Hudson Valley Lighting

HIGH POINT — Hudson Valley Lighting is unveiling a lighting collection with interior designer Cortney Bishop at High Point Market here this weekend.
The collection includes 14 lighting families that blend “bohemian charm with refined sophistication through natural silk shades, delicate perforated details, and striking scale.”
Bishop is the visionary behind Cortney Bishop Design, a full-service, Charleston-based design firm founded in 2007. She said her travels, music, art and vintage finds inspired the collection, which combines artisan materials with earthy finishes like heritage bronze, gradient brass and verdigris metal. The designs play with contrast — soft curves meet angular lines, natural textures paired with polished finishes, and old-world influences are reimagined with a modern edge.
“I wanted this collection to feel lighthearted and artisan-driven, yet grounded in refinement and timelessness,” she said.
Beyond her interior design practice, Bishop is the founder of Harwood House, a premiere line of woven textiles created in collaboration with Holland & Sherry, as well as the founder of album, an immersive e-commerce platform featuring a hand-selected collection of one-of-a-kind vintage and artisanal furniture, décor, and art, made available for a limited time.
