Festive tabletop trends gains momentum at the 2025 Inspired Home Show
From bold and colorful serveware to classic blue-and-white dinnerware, these trends were apparent at the Chicago home and housewares show.

After browsing a full winter season of trade shows, one thing is clear, report our colleagues at Gifts & Decorative Accessories: Consumers are looking for products that bring joy to their everyday lives and that includes more colorful and festive tabletop. “But that’s not the only tabletop trend we’ve noticed,” said editor Lenise Willis. “This year, more festive table accessories, like unique salt and pepper shakers, figural accessories, pretty table linens, pitchers and dinner taper holders; blue-and-white dishes spun off the classic chinoiserie pattern, but with a modern twist; fused-glass products; and spring-fresh floral patterns all seem to be trending, judging by the products showcased at the markets.”
Here are just a few products discovered at the Inspired Home Show that confirm the trends spotted for 2025.
Bold and Colorful Tabletop Uplifts Spirits
This year, along with the last few years, have been tumultuous and have consumers seeking ways to uplift their mood. One way to do that is by using bold and colorful dinnerware, whether for group gatherings or an everyday dinner. In addition to more “loud” designs, colorful floral patterns are also adding joy to the category in a more subdued way. Here are just a few of the joyful patterns and colors spotted at the Inspired Home Show.
Convenience and Function are Still Key
Consumers are still looking for no-fuss accessories, like double-walled glasses that prevent drinkware from sweating and melamine dishes that don’t shatter. New innovations, like microwavable melamine, take the convenience feature to the next level.
Festive Table Accessories Add a Touch of Fun
From figural serveware and tabletop accessories to quirky salt and pepper sets, decorative napkin rings, taper holders and table linens, table accessories are adding personality to the dinner table.
Fused-Glass Tabletop Adds Color and Quirk to Everyday Items
Fused-glass products are a new technique for attaching colored-glass decorations to clear (or now patterned) glassware, bringing a touch of creativity to the category.
Blue and White is Still a Classic
Blue shades in the home have been trending for the last couple of years and the resurgence of chinoiserie dishes has brought back the appeal of classic blue-and-white patterns. Though chinoiserie patterns exploded across all gift categories and have since started to die out, the popularity of the color combo is still lingering. These tabletop items put a more modern and fresh take on the popular palette.
