Industry icon Ray Allegrezza returns to Furniture Today in new role

HIGH POINT – , long-time of has returned to the publication in the newly created role of .  The role reflects Allegrezza’s extensive furniture industry knowledge, his deep industry connections and an unmatched level of industry experience.

Allegrezza served as editor in chief of Furniture Today from 2000 to 2015, a period during which he grew the Furniture Today Leadership Conference into the industry largest, longest running and most highly valued networking and educational event.

In this newly created position, Allegrezza will work with Furniture Today Editor in Chief Bill McLoughlin to develop new digital and event content opportunities while also strengthening the brand’s industry-leading editorial coverage.

“I spent most of my professional career at Furniture Today,” said Allegrezza. It’s gratifying to come back home to a publication that has meant so much to me over the years.”

During his earlier tenure at Furniture Today, Allegrezza was responsible for the creation of several unique specialty publications that addressed rapidly emerging industry sub-segments including SOHO Today, targeting the home office segment at the height of its growth, and the reinvigoration of Kids Today. He also pioneered the publication’s video, conducting in-depth, face-to-face conversations with leading government and industry figures.

Since his retirement from Furniture Today, Allegrezza has served as the executive director of the International Home Furnishings Representatives Assn., as well as maintaining his industry relationships through freelance industry coverage several industry platforms.
