ABC Carpet & Home expands into South Florida
NEW YORK — While its roots in New York run deep, ABC Carpet & Home saw plenty of compelling reasons to branch out into South Florida for its latest showroom.
The New York-based retailer of area rugs, furniture and home décor announced its expansion to Boca Raton, Fla. earlier this month. Located at 601 N. Federal Highway, the 18,000-square-foot showroom features more than 5,000 rugs, including custom and one-of-a-kind pieces, alongside furniture, bedding, bath, kitchen, tabletop and décor. It joins showrooms in New York and Greenwich, Conn., with a Long Island location at Belmont Park Village coming soon.
“Boca Raton felt like a natural opportunity for ABC to reach a new audience while continuing to build on what makes the brand distinctive,” Geri Moran, vice president of marketing, told Furniture Today. “South Florida has a vibrant consumer market, a strong sense of lifestyle and community, and an appreciation for quality and thoughtfully curated experiences. We saw an opportunity to bring ABC to a market that aligns well with our brand and gives us room to connect with new customers.”

Moran said the decision to open in Florida came from a broader conversation about where ABC could grow thoughtfully and meaningfully.
“We are always looking at opportunities to introduce the brand to new markets while staying true to our identity and the experience our customers expect,” she said. “Boca Raton stood out as a market with a lot of potential, and the opportunity felt like a natural next step.”
She said the core ABC Carpet & Home experience will be central to the Boca Raton showroom, with little differences to appeal to local shoppers.
“Every market has its own personality, and we want this location to feel connected to the community it serves,” Moran said.
Moran said making the move far away from ABC’s headquarters required thoughtful planning and a strong operational foundation to make sure this showroom can be serviced at the level its customers expect.
“We’ve approached distribution with a focus on maintaining the consistency and quality customers expect while ensuring the location is well supported,” Moran said. “The goal is to make the distance feel seamless from the customer’s perspective. That means coordinating inventory, logistics and replenishment carefully so the Boca Raton location can operate efficiently while remaining connected to the broader ABC Carpet & Home business.”
