Arteriors adds surcharges to combat tariffs

LEWISVILLE, TEXAS – , a global design company specializing in high-end , furniture, wall décor, and accessories, will address the new costs incurred with import is by imposing temporary surcharges.

In a letter to stakeholders, Arteriors CEO said that a separately delineated charge enables the company to readily adjust to any shifts in rates, rather than incorporating increases in ongoing pricing, while providing customers with maximum transparency.

“We appreciate your understanding and partnership as we navigate these changes,” Hart said in an emailed statement. “Our entire team of sales and service professionals remains available to assist you with any questions you may have.”

The company’s previously announced price increases will take place starting Monday, May 12 to coincide with the company’s other updated pricing:

  • A temporary surcharge of 14% of MSRP on items that Arteriors sources in China, which are predominately lighting and accessories.
  • A temporary surcharge of 2% MSRP for items imported from any other countries. This includes a substantial portion of Arteriors’ lighting assortment and all furniture that is not made in the U.S.
  • Items sourced domestically in the U.S. are not affected.

The surcharge will be a set figure for each individual product that mitigates actual costs and therefore will not vary with discount level. Given the variety of channels served by Arteriors, Hart said the company believes this to be the most equitable and transparent approach. The surcharge will be visibly displayed alongside each item’s price on the Arteriors website.

Please note that due to systems capabilities, some of the national retail distribution partners for Arteriors may only show a single price combining product and surcharge on their own websites.
