Fairfield launches workplace chaplain program to support employee well-being
LENOIR, N.C. — Fairfield has launched a workplace chaplain program, a new benefit designed to support the well-being of its employees and their families. The new initiative offers confidential access to the chaplains for employees and their families and is designed to support well-being.
Through the program, employees and their family members have access to non-denominational chaplains who are ordained ministers trained to provide confidential support for navigating challenges such as stress, grief, family concerns and major life transitions. Participation is voluntary and permission-based, ensuring employees maintain full control over the nature and scope of their interactions. The private program is offered at no cost.

Bilingual and English-speaking chaplains conduct weekly onsite visits and build relationships with employees. Fairfield team members can schedule one-on-one sessions with a chaplain to discuss concerns, explore options or be connected with additional resources when needed.
Chaplains are also available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide support whenever needed.

“I’ve worked in the furniture industry for over 49 years, and I’ve never been at a company that offers access to clergy like this,” said one employee. “I think it’s wonderful because sometimes you just need someone to talk to or someone to pray for or with you.”
Company officials said the initiative was first envisioned by Fairfield’s late chairman of the board, John Beall, whose “dedication to caring for employees reflects the values that have guided the family-owned company for generations.”
“John Beall really wanted the chaplain program for Fairfield’s employees,” said Anne-Lindsay Beall, fourth-generation owner and current chairman. “He made people feel seen and heard. That’s always been important at Fairfield.”
Fairfield will host a prayer breakfast in its showroom during High Point Market at 7:30-8 a.m., Sunday, April 26. The gathering will be led by a chaplain from the new program and is open to all market attendees.
Fairfield is a fourth-generation, family-owned furniture company based in Lenoir. The company was founded in 1921 and specializes in American-made, bench-made upholstery. Fairfield serves the residential, commercial and senior living sectors, including top retail and e-commerce partners, interior design/trade clients and specifiers.
