Artisan 34 takes a room with a view

Hazlet, N.J. – Décor-focused home textiles supplier Artisan 34 is giving itself more room to run with a larger showroom space in New York.

During New York Home Fashions Week this week, Artisan 34 will be presenting more fashion, more in-house brands and more fabrications. The company is also introducing more cotton into its bedding portfolio.

The company has relocated to 260 5th Avenue, occupying the full 5th floor. This triples the size of Artisan 34’s previous NYC outpost, which was located around the corner nearby.

“It got to the point where we didn’t have enough room – and not only during market,” said Amir Elliott, CEO.

The new showroom features conference rooms, a kitchen/lounge area, tall ceilings, fresh wood floors and windows overlooking 5th Avenue.

While the floor will be fully loaded with merchandise for New York Home Fashions Market, Artisan 34 has also decided to concentrate on the businesses with the most potential for growth.

The company has exited the pet and kitchen categories. Its assortment falls into three divisions: bedding (comforters, quilts and sheets), shower curtains and soft home décor (decorative pillows and throws).

“Our strategy is to go deeper, not wider,” said Elliott. “We’re going to show buyers a lot more merchandising value.”
