PLANO, Texas — A report from Bloomberg says At Home Group is preparing a filing.

The report, which cites unidentified people with knowledge of the matter, notes that the Plano, Texas-based home décor specialist, owned by Hellman & Friedman, missed an interest payment on May 15 and entered a forbearance agreement with lenders on May 23.

Reports from April noted that the retailer is working to restructure nearly $2 billion in debts and that the recent spate of has added to the company’s pressures, as much of its product is imported.

ranks No. 23 in Furniture Today’s 2025 Top 100 with $577.7 million in sales across 250 stores. The retailer declined to comment for this story.
