LightForm puts international lighting in the spotlight

Canadian lighting retailer and distributor LightForm is bringing four of its lighting brands to the Interior Design Show in Vancouver later this month.

Its design-forward lineup, exclusive to LightForm in Canada and indicative of its international reach, includes J. Adams & Co (handmade lighting out of the UK); a.emotional light (the label founded by Spanish designer Arturo Alvarez); Rakumba (Australia’s heritage luxury lighting house); and Ferroluce (Italian lighting defined by color). It is also showing its furniture brand, Stellar Works, which highlights Asian design sensibility and craft.

“This booth is a snapshot of what LightForm has spent nearly 30 years building relationships with the world’s best lighting designers, and the trust to bring their work to Canada and introduce it to Canadians,” said founder Richard Assaly.

The IDS booth will reflect LightForm’s Vancouver showroom concept that opened late last year that is built around custom vignettes inspired by home life “using dimension, color, shadow and texture to show lighting in action, the way it actually lives in a room.”

The company has showrooms in Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, Winnipeg and Kelowna, and operates an e-commerce site.

The Interior Design Show will take place in Vancouver Sept. 24-27. LightForm will be in booth #924.
