A new has opened in Lightology, the Chicago-based showroom.

The fully branded shop-in-shop concept is minimalistic with a bit of theatrical flair — an environment of rough concrete, milled wood, black calamine iron and dark gray plaster allows for layered lighting effects, while a modular display system enables consumers to visualize what the lighting would look like in their own home, Flos said.

The Design Space showcases Flos’ celebrated classics such as the Taccia and Snoopy table lamps by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, as well as contemporary pieces like by Michael Anastassiades, Noctambule by Konstantin Grcic, and Céramique by Ronan Bouroullec.

The display also integrates the newest SuperWire Table lamp by Simone Farresin and Andrea Trimarchi of FormaFantasma. SuperWire is a family of sophisticated modular lamps that feature planar glass hexagons and thin LED filaments custom-developed by Flos that can be easily removed for replacement and repair by the user.

Flos said it developed the collaborative retail concept in 2021 to offer a more comprehensive shopping experience to consumers by exhibiting all its decorative, architectural and outdoor collections in one dedicated space.

Lightology, one of Home Accents Today‘s 2025 Retail Stars, is recognizable for its state-of-the-art showroom in the heart of Chicago and its assortment of innovative fixtures from international designers and manufacturers. It is also known as a resource for lighting education, inspiration, and specification. It received an ARTS Showroom of the Year award in 2025, 2024 and 2018.
