Meridian enters lighting, Lightovation sets January 2027 dates | Lighting Report

is July 26-30, and as reported earlier this week, will debut an 80-sku lighting collection there. Meridian is known for its upholstered furniture and case goods with a European flavor. For its lighting debut, it has used natural materials like marble, acacia and mango woods, and woven rattan. The line encompasses tabletop and floor lamps with suggested retail prices generally ranging from $150 to $250. A sculptural 59-inch natural rattan floor lamp is priced at $600.

Meridian said it is dedicated to keeping products in stock and ready for fast delivery, and will use its e-commerce packaging experience to ensure all lamps arrive in good condition.

With another June Lightovation in the books, the next edition of Lightovation continues its traditional date pattern. It’s scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 6 through Saturday, Jan. 9, with a 3 p.m. close on Saturday. Design + Build Day will precede Lightovation on Tuesday, January 5. The Total Home & Gift Market will run concurrently, January 6-12, 2027.

The is calling for entries for its 2026 Lighting Transformation Awards that recognize excellence in lighting retrofit projects (defined as those projects involving minimum alteration of existing building materials).

“Through the creative use of lighting systems and controls, these projects illustrate the value of lighting, including but not limited to improved visual performance, promotion of health and wellness, positive environmental impact including responsible outdoor lighting practices, enhanced safety and security, and increased overall occupant satisfaction,” the organization said.

The main intent of the program is to promote best practices for a variety of indoor and outdoor lighting applications, it noted. The program aims to recognize and showcase projects that provide a narrative and “how to” guide for others with similar lighting retrofit challenges.

Projects should have ben completed within the 2024, 2025 and 2026 calendar years. The entry fee is $100 per project submission (there’s an early bird submission fee of $50 for those projects submitted no later than Aug. 14, 2026). The final submission date for all project entries is Aug. 28, 2026. You can submit here.
