New Pottery Barn prez started as assistant buyer

SAN FRANCISCO – The newly appointed president at Pottery Barn is a Williams-Sonoma Inc. veteran of nearly three decades.

Jennifer Kellor, who has been promoted into the position, has served as president of the children’s brands since 2016, during which time she oversaw outsized growth in the baby and dorm businesses. She most recently led the company’s acquisition and relaunch of Dormify.

She joined Williams-Sonoma Inc. in 1997 as an assistant buyer for the Pottery Barn catalog, played an instrumental role in the early growth of Pottery Barn Kids and helped launch Pottery Barn Teen in 2003.

“Over the course of her 29-year tenure, Jen has demonstrated an exceptional track record of driving growth and incubating brands,” said , Williams-Sonoma Inc. president and CEO. “Jen’s deep brand leadership, merchandising, design, e-commerce and marketing expertise has led the Pottery Barn children’s home furnishings businesses to over $1.1 billion in annual revenues.”

Kellor succeeds Monica Bhargava, who is leaving the company after nearly 26 years there.

Kellor and the team in the Pottery Barn children’s businesses will continue to report directly to Alber.
