Nourison heads to NY for hospitality show
The company will show off its Molto rug collection to hotel designers and architects attending the BDNY show.
NEW YORK — The hospitality division of Nourison Home is headed to New York this weekend to show its full range of capabilities at the BDNY show.
BDNY is a boutique design fair for hotel designers and architects (BDNY stands for “Boutique Design New York”) and includes textiles, furniture and lighting among its home furnishings vendors, along with educational sessions about industry challenges, design trends and other topics. It will be held Nov. 10 – 11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
At the show, Nourison said it plans to showcase its Molto rug collection, a vibrant and evocative line that merges diverse scale, bold colors and patterns, and a range of textures that the rug company said balance opulence with an “energetic edge.”
Nourison said its Molto collection also demonstrates its ability to craft designs without being restricted to a single color palette or loom type. For example, its Axminster technology supports up to 16 colors, but with the Abrash technique, it can achieve stria textures that give the appearance of more colors. And its high-definition dye injection technique allows for an unlimited color palette, similar to a digital graphic image.
Among the featured rugs in the Nourison Hospitality booth, one hand-tufted design comes from the portfolio of Jai Srivastava, who is part of Nourison’s design team. Srivastava, who enjoys painting with watercolors and acrylics, contributed artwork that was transformed into freeform hand-tufted rugs. “The designs capture the dynamic energy of his brushstrokes and are infused with the same Molto energy—bursting with color and movement,” Nourison said.
Two hand-tufted rugs from its residential Prismatic line, which is also known for its bold colorations, will also be on display in the company’s booth, #1907.
