NEW YORK – The digitally native Rest & Reset brand is looking to carve out a niche with non-toxic home essentials for the bedroom and bathroom.
Launched on Dec. 3, Rest & Reset offers Portuguese-woven bedding, plush bath towels, and handcrafted blankets that prioritize wellness and craftsmanship. All of the brand’s products are Okeo-Tex Standard 100 certified.
The inaugural collection includes:
Organic Bedding: Portuguese-woven sheets, duvet covers, quilts, and shams made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, including the Murmur, Waves, Veil, Classic, and Serene collections ($189-$389)
Luxury Bath: 700 GSM and 600 GSM organic cotton towels crafted in Portugal ($19-$259)
Artisan Throw Blankets: Including feather-light Portuguese-woven designs and handwoven Cambodian blankets naturally dyed with mango peels and coconut husks. ($179-$729)
Ritual Boxes: Curated collections for Rest and Reset, featuring organic bedding, weighted eye pillows, aromatic mists, plant-based soaps, and energizing scents.
“I started Rest & Reset from a simple desire: to create a safe home. A place made with clean, organic materials where we can truly rest, reset, and breathe easy,” said Alejandra Colmenares, co-founder.
In addition to promoting sustainable textiles, the brand also supports women artisans. Rest & Reset’s collection of handwoven blankets are made by female artisans in Cambodia, who are preserving a craft passed down through generations. The blankets are naturally dyed using traditional methods and signed “I made your blanket” by each creator. Direct village relationships are designed to ensure fair wages and contribute to education and infrastructure.
As part of the brand’s immersive sensory experience, each purchase includes special touches like seeded hang tags that grow peppermint and curated Spotify playlists accessed via QR codes.
“We started Rest & Reset with the belief that beauty and responsibility can coexist,” said David Shalam, who is a co-founder along with his family members Abe and Terry. “Every collection is the result of countless conversations, shared values, and a passion for creating a home that feels pure and purposeful.”
