Rug Report: New collaborations take center stage

HIGH POINT – Actress and designer Ashley Tisdale has launched her first collection with Rugs USA called Frenshe Interiors. The collection features 22 designs in various sizes with several available in multiple colorways – all for under $1,000.

Tisdale’s personal style guided the new collection’s soft, neutral color palette. Dimensional shades of cream, soft tans, taupes and moody hues work well in any space, she said. The patterns are minimal and tonal, featuring subtle stripes of Moroccan-inspired prints—another of Tisdale’s favorite motifs.

The 22 designs are crafted with high-quality materials, including luxurious New Zealand wool and soft cotton blends, to ensure both softness and durability, according to Rugs USA. From tailored stripes and soft plaids to variegated solids and three abstract shapes, the collection offers a range of styles and materials.

American artist Dale Chihuly has collaborated with The Rug Company to create four rugs inspired by Chihuly’s iconic glass sculptures. The collection, called Masterpieces II, pays homage to a variety of the artist’s techniques and styles, collectively defined by the bold use of color, form and movement.

This collection marks Chihuly’s second collaboration with The Rug Company and is an evolution of Masterpieces, which first explored the artist’s glasswork in 2020.

The background of this collection is Venice, a city that played a significant role in Chihuly’s artistic journey.  It was there, early in his career, that he learned Italian glassmaking techniques at the famed Venini factory and later exhibited his work.
