South + English to feature Art Tank this spring

HIGH POINT — Home décor and original art brand South + English returns to the upcoming High Point Market, April 26-30, with a dozen new furniture designs alongside a selection of original art.

Founded in 2020, this market the company is launching Art Tank, a concept previewed last autumn that explores the interplay of art and furniture. The Art Tank Tall Cabinet is fronted with original artwork by Linwood (Palmer Linwood Smith’s brush name), while the Art Tank Low Cabinet features work by DJE (David Ebbetts), the co-founders of South + English. Each piece is both art as furniture and furniture as art.

“David and I are both painters, designers, and creatives,” said Smith. “A light bulb went off when we realized that art and furniture don’t just coexist; they belong together. Art Tank was born.”

South + English’s showroom — washed in a deeply pigmented Rose Madder hue — is located at 210 E. MLK Jr. Drive.
