Wayfair to shutter Kentucky warehouse

BOSTON — Wayfair is closing its Florence, Ky., warehouse by the end of 2025, resulting in the layoff of 218 workers.

In a WARN notice filed with the Kentucky State Rapid Response Dislocated Worker Unit on Oct. 9, Wayfair said permanent layoffs for employees at the warehouse at 5101 Renegade Way will begin on Dec. 31 and will be phased throughout 2025.

The workers are non-union and don’t have bumping rights.

According to a report from LINK nky, a northern Kentucky news organization, the 20,000-square-foot Wayfair facility opened five years ago and has served as a warehouse and retail store.
