WinDesign by Enel

Enel's WinDesign competition calls for designers to reimagine wind turbine aesthetics that integrate with the landscape.

Proposals should comply with the industry's technical regulations and standards while also considering innovation, sustainability and economic feasibility.

The submission deadline is 16 June, with the winners being announced on 10 November.

Inclusive Sports Product Design Hack 2024

The Inclusive Sports Product Design Hack 2024 competition from the School of Design and Creative Arts at Loughborough University invites students in higher education to develop sports designs for people living with disabilities.

Participants can respond to one of three briefs focused on creating inclusive sporting products, accessories and training aids.

Submissions should include a presentation of the design via a YouTube video, a written summary, an image of the product and a declaration of originality document. The deadline to submit is 29 June.

The Architect's Stair Edition #1

The Architect's Stair Edition #1 competition by Buildner calls for architects to reimagine staircases as a conceptual form without site-specific constraints or limitations.

The competition challenges conventional boundaries and seeks different interpretations of stairs as "vessels for spatial storytelling".

Participants must submit entires via the online upload panel by 14 July and the winners will be announced on 16 September.

The submission deadline is 25 July, with the winners being announced on 15 September.

Laguna Vere

The Laguna Vere competition from TerraViva seeks proposals to repurpose Laguna Vere, an abandoned brutalist complex.

Proposals may range from transforming the site into a recreational urban oasis to a university campus but must prioritise the preservation of its original architectural and artistic elements.

Participants must submit two A1 panels and a brief text describing the project by 1 August and the winners will be announced on 22 September.
