Bassett Mirror taps new VP of product development with focus on furniture

BASSETT, Va. — Bassett Mirror has appointed  as vice president of product development and merchandising, furniture.

In her new role, Ridgeway will lead ‘s furniture product development and merchandising efforts, overseeing the development of new furniture collections while guiding merchandising strategy, sourcing, and trend direction.

“Furniture is a key focus for Bassett Mirror, and Whitney brings a tremendous combination of product expertise, merchandising insight and design perspective,” said Melissa Whitaker, president and CEO. “She understands how to build collections that customers respond to, and has the experience to lead our product development and merchandising efforts.”

Ridgeway has led product development, merchandising, sourcing, trend analysis and interior design initiatives for leading furniture retailers, partnering with domestic and international teams to create consumer-focused furniture collections across multiple categories. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interior design and began her career in residential interior design before moving into merchandising and product development.
