Brazilian trade group joins Nearshoring show in Dallas
Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, has embarked upon several initiatives designed to make the country a key player in international sourcing, DMC said.
DALLAS — Dallas Market Center is partnering with a Brazilian trade promotion group for Nearshoring America, the new international expo taking place in Dallas in December.
The Brazilian trade group’s goal is to connect qualified exporters in Brazil with large-scale importers in the U.S. to establish supply alternatives that are “more competitive, sustainable, resilient and culturally and environmentally friendly,” according to John Cuttino, the director of international business for CISBRA, the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services.
“Our partnership with CISBRA aims to create a bridge for Brazilian manufacturers, facilitating immediate connections and trade channels into the U.S. wholesale market,” said Dallas Market Center CEO Cindy Morris.
Participating companies, which will encompass gift, home furnishings, lighting and fashion accessories, will be announced later, Dallas Market Center said.
Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, has embarked upon several initiatives designed to make the country a key player in international sourcing, particularly for consumer goods manufacturing, DMC said, noting that Brazil has made “substantial infrastructure investments and is attracting foreign investments, improving its logistics network and creating a business-friendly environment.”
The Nearshoring America Expo is scheduled to take place Dec. 9 – 11, 2024. As previously reported, exhibitors will include an invitation-only group of factories and supply chain providers pre-selected based on their history, operating experience and delivery. Sourcing agents, trading companies, shelter companies, and design and production consultants will also be represented.
