Hand-knotted assortment stars for Capel Rugs at Vegas
For the upcoming Las Vegas Market, Capel Rugs is focusing its introductions on five of its biggest hits from fall.
TROY, N.C. — For the upcoming Las Vegas Market, set for Jan. 26-30, Capel Rugs is focusing its introductions on five of its biggest hits from fall.
Capel will feature an assortment of its best new products at its showroom in A-133, including a variety of fresh hand-knotted rugs in transitional and contemporary styling.
“We see spending picking up in 2025 now that the election is over and all that uncertainty is behind us,” said Cameron Capel, president of sales and marketing . “As consumers gain more confidence on where the economy is heading, we expect many will be looking for fashion-forward rugs to freshen up their living spaces.”
She noted that many of Capel Rugs’ introductions feature fashionable brown colorways, a palette that is right in line with Pantone’s choice of a rich brown Mocha Mousse as its 2025 Color of the Year. “We have been building a warmer line of rugs in tones like taupe and tan for a couple of seasons now, so we are ready.”
To encourage customers to place orders at market, Capel Rugs is offering a special “draw for your discount” promotion. The discount ranges from 10% to 50% off the standard price of all new rugs.
Introductions this market include two new contemporary collections made of 100% silk: Aquarelles and Graylen.
Aquarelles captures the spirit of classic French impressionist paintings by using silk yarns that are blended and muted to deliver a captivating, fluid feeling. The collection is available in four colorways: verde, noir, bleu and blanc. Three standard sizes are offered, and custom sizes will also be available. A 5’x8’size may retail for $2,049.
Graylen, crafted in India, takes inspiration from the subtle colorations and intricate linear patterning of traditional Moroccan designs and adds a fresh, modern spin. Four colorways are offered: gray stone, graphite, silver tile and shadow. Three standard sizes are offering, along with custom options. A 5’x8’may retail for $1,699.
Other introductions this month include:
- Heath,a 70% wool/30% viscose blend inspired by the rural landscape of Britain, characterized by rough grass and small shrubs. Three colorways are offered: jade, turquoise and sapphire. A 5’x8’ rug may retail for $2,199.
- Matrix, a hand-tufted collection crafted in India of all-natural, undyed wool with an abundant hi-lo pile. The collection offers three geometric patterns and colorways: graphite, sable and taupe. A 5’x8’model may retail for $499.
- Also, three additions to the American Originals line of braided rugs handcrafted in Troy, N.C. The new designs include the Crafted collection, made with cotton chenille yarns twisted and wrapped in a wool-blend yarn.
