Gift for Life returning to High Point with new fundraising goal
The event follows the success of the team’s April 2024 fundraiser, which raised over $21,000 for World Central Kitchen’s hunger relief programs.
HIGH POINT – Gift for Life’s Home vs Hunger team is set to host its signature “Party with a Purpose” fundraiser at the fall High Point Market on Oct. 27.
The event follows the success of the team’s April fundraiser, which raised more than $21,000 for World Central Kitchen’s hunger relief programs. Organizers hope to build on that momentum with a new fundraising goal of $30,000 for the October gathering.
“Our last three Home vs Hunger events were tremendous successes, and we are eager to build on that momentum,” said Russ Jones, chair of the Home vs Hunger team. “It’s more than just a fundraiser; it’s a testament to the generosity and spirit of our industry.”
The Home vs Hunger initiative, which began in October 2022 at High Point Market, has raised more than $60,000 for crisis-related hunger relief. Fundraising efforts include both in-person events, such as those held at the High Point Markets, and online campaigns, including responses to the Turkey and Syria earthquakes in February 2023 and the Maui wildfires in August 2023.
The event will run from 5-8 p.m. at the Eichholtz Showroom, located at 129 S. Hamilton St. Tickets for the event include a $20 suggested donation, which can be pre-purchased here.
All proceeds from the October event will go directly to support World Central Kitchen’s hunger relief efforts.
