Troy Lee, CEO of Progressive Lighting and Savoy House, will receive an Academy of Achievement Award at the ARTS Awards in January, honoring a career “of leadership, growth and lasting commitment to the home and lighting industries,” ART and Dallas Market Center jointly announced earlier this week.
The Academy of Achievement is one of the ARTS Awards’ special honors, selected by the ARTS Awards Committee rather than through the nomination and judging process that determines the category awards. It recognizes an individual whose body of work has shaped the industry over the course of a career.
The ARTS Awards will be held Jan. 8, 2027, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.

Acuity Brands Lighting, an industrial tech company, has received Gold Certification from the Grands Prix Du Design Awards for 11 of its lighting solutions and its design hub, the company said. The Grands Prix Du Design Awards is an international recognition program, and projects submitted for awards are evaluated by an international jury. Acuity’s design hub was recognized in the Firm of the Year category for medium-sized firms. It was also recognized for several of its indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. The team is featured above.

Blueprint Lighting has introduced the Pulley Series, a made-to-order collection of fixtures that mimic a traditional pulley system but are warm and sculptural. Each fixture is available in 8, 12, and 16-inch diameters, and is anchored by a solid brass sphere complemented by a braided leather cord available in a range of finish options.

Vaughn has unveiled its autumn/winter lighting collection that’s inspired by Art Deco, ornate French and midcentury Italian designs. It spans chandeliers, ceiling lights and outdoor wall lanterns and uses design elements like blown and cut glass, painted panels and ribbed shades.

American Lighting is expanding its TINSL seasonal lighting portfolio with the introduction of Color Fusion, a new RGBW lighting collection that delivers “vibrant color effects, warm white illumination and simplified control for seasonal applications,” the company said. Color Fusion products allow users to switch between vibrant colors and crisp white light while accessing multiple preset scenes and dynamic lighting modes through a handheld remote.
