Hudson Valley Lighting Group makes leadership transition
Hudson Valley Lighting Group President Malaina Matheus will become CEO of the premium lighting manufacturer next month, the company announced this afternoon. Company founder and current CEO David Littman will transition to executive chairman.
Matheus assumes her new role on Sept. 1, in a transition HVLG said has been “thoughtfully planned.” A 16-year veteran of HVLG, Matheus has played a central role in the company’s growth, building its sales organization, leading its expansion into new markets, and helping guide the acquisitions of Sonneman and Schoolhouse, the company said.
“Malaina has been at the heart of this company’s growth for the past 16 years, and I make this transition with complete confidence in her leadership,” Littman said in a release. “She knows our business, she knows our people and she shares the values this company was built on. She leads with clarity, passion, and a deep commitment to our team. There is no one better prepared to lead HVLG into its next chapter.”
