In Dallas, Kalco readies new, expanded showroom

DALLAS — Kalco Lighting will unveil a newly renovated showroom during the Lightovation show here in Dallas this week, featuring decorative designs from Kalco, its luxury lighting line Allegri Crystal by Kalco, and its furniture line, Modern Elements, under one roof.

A grand opening will be celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, followed by the celebratory Champagne & Chandeliers event at 3 p.m. in the new showroom in the TM-4915 at Dallas Market Center.

Showroom renovations began in early 2024, resulting in a sprawling 4,000-square-foot space with Italian-influenced marble flooring and an open layout that provides an airy, elegant feel with plush seating.

“Mirroring the fresh and luxurious design of our High Point Market showroom, the vision behind this new showroom is to give buyers, designers and media an intimate and immersive experience with our handcrafted lighting,” said Riki Lent, senior vice president of Kalco Lighting and Allegri by Kalco.

“Premium materials and quality craftsmanship are the center of both the Kalco and Allegri philosophy. Our 45th anniversary marks the ideal time to come together as one to celebrate our strength and unity.”

Kalco Lighting opened its first showroom at Dallas Market Center in 1992, first sharing a space with Teiber & Company before having its own location. Allegri Crystal also opened a showroom in Dallas following its successful launch in 2011. Kalco and Allegri by Kalco later opened a showroom at the World Market Center Las Vegas in 2008 before opening an additional showroom at High Point Market in 2023.

“There is so much design history to be celebrated between Kalco and Allegri,” said Takayuki Ishii, vice president of design and development for the two lighting brands. “Over the years, our design team has explored various design styles, drawing inspirations from jewelry, abstract art and materials found in nature— it all can be discovered within the four walls of our showrooms.”

Lightovation takes place Jan. 8-11.
