NEW YORK — Online marketplace 1stDibs is celebrating its roots with a video campaign that commemorates its 25 years in business.

The film, “On the Road at 25,” follows Anthony Barzilay Freund, editorial director and director of fine at , through a series of visits with selected sellers and designers in Paris, London and New York who participate in the 1stDibs platform.

The , which launched in 2000, was initially inspired by a trip to Paris. In the video, Barzilay Freund returns to Paris and two of 1stDibs’ top markets — London and New York — to connect with experts about their one-of-a-kind items.

Pieces from the sellers and galleries are highlighted in the video and are also available on the 1stDibs website.

Among the places visited by Barzilay Freund are Vingtieme and Joachim Franco Design in Paris, the former a dealer of 20th century furniture and the latter a seller of and design, both from the Saint-Ouen flea market. Also in Paris, Barzilay Freund makes a stop at Stanislas Reboul, which offers interior design pieces from the late 20th century.

Dealers and designers seen in New York include Creel and Gow décor shop; J.M. Szymanski, a maker and designer of furniture and décor pieces; Luft Tanaka, a creator of art objects, furniture and ; and interior designer Corey Damen Jenkins.

The London visits center around sellers and designers, including Bryan O’Sullivan, who runs an international interior design studio with offices in London and New York, and Charu Gandhi of the design firm Elicyon.

The anniversary collection online features more than 1,000 furniture and décor items — along with art, jewelry and fashion — including a Luigi Massoni vanity set in cognac leatherette from 1968; a Swedish modern coffee table from the 1940s; a set of Odel brass and fabric wall lights from the 1960s; and a tête-a-tête settee by Randy Culler for Thayer Coggin, dating from the 1980s.
