Lalique unveils grand new flagship in New York
The five-story townhouse celebrates the French crystal company’s newest creations for home, jewelry and fragrance, and houses a bar and interior design studio.

NEW YORK — Lalique has opened an immersive retail and lifestyle flagship in New York, a residential setting inspired by the homes of “collectors, art lovers and artists alike,” the French crystal company said.
Called Maison d’Artiste, the five-story townhouse in the historic Chopard Mansion on the Upper East Side includes Lalique’s newest collections, an atrium dedicated to the company’s artistic creations as well as a jewelry salon that honors company founder Rene Lalique’s legacy as a master jeweler. (Lalique has created the “Manhattan” necklace, an interpretation of an original drawing by René Lalique that illustrates the famous New York skyline, in white gold piece, paved with diamonds.)
There is also an area dedicated to limited-edition perfumes in Lalique crystal bottles and home fragrance.
On the third floor is the Lalique art gallery, its largest to date, which features the work of creators such as James Turrell, Damien Hirst and Zaha Hadid.
The fourth floor includes a bar and lounge inspired by the Orient Express, and an interior design studio, which presents crystal components and fixtures as they are in the brand’s Parisian studio. It is Lalique’s first interior design studio outside of Paris and will be available to designers, architects and contractors.
“With the launch of this new flagship, we are crafting more than a retail space — we are creating a unique journey into the heart of Lalique,” said Silvio Denz, executive chairman of Lalique Group. “We are thrilled to offer both our valued clients and a new generation of collectors an inspiring experience that celebrates Lalique‘s lifestyle and beauty.”
The new townhouse, located at 21 E. 63rd Street between Fifth and Madison avenues, was inaugurated earlier this month with a grand party for 250 guests, including rapper 50 Cent.
