Lighting maker Gantri appoints sales VP
Philip Raub has a tech background as well as experience in the home furnishings sector.

SAN FRANCISCO – San Francisco-based lighting manufacturer Gantri has appointed Phillip Raub vice president of sales & marketing, reporting to CEO Ian Yang.
Raub, who has a tech background as well as experience in the home furnishings sector, will oversee P&L and branding across Gantri‘s business units and as it expands beyond its online business and into new sales channels and business verticals.
Prior to joining Gantri, Raub was CEO of Model No., a premium furniture brand leveraging digital manufacturing. Before that, he co-founded and served as president of b8ta, where he championed the “retail-as-a-service” model and focused on experiential retail. During his time at b8ta, Raub also led the acquisition and transformation of Toys “R” Us’ U.S. business, where he served as co-CEO, Gantri said.
“I have been an admirer of Gantri for years,” said Raub. “After getting to know Ian and learning more about his long-term vision for the brand, I was thrilled to join the team to help tell Gantri’s story and expand the brand’s products into new channels.”
Raub’s appointment follows Gantri’s recent launch of Gantri Made, a first-of-its-kind digital manufacturing platform that enables designers and brands to create and scale high-quality lighting products without what Gantri called the “high costs, long timelines, and complexities of traditional manufacturing.”
“I’m thrilled to welcome Philip to the team,” said Yang. “His unique expertise across tech, retail and design experience is exactly what we need as we scale our vision to lead the design industry into the digital manufacturing era.”
