Textile makers are weaving market demands into Interwoven debuts

The industry’s fabric, leather and trim community is set to converge in High Point next week for the fall edition of the Interwoven Textile Fair by the International Textile Alliance. It runs next Tues., Nov. 18 through Thurs., Nov. 20.

This season’s introductions reflect a notable range of diversity, with mills and vendors presenting collections that span a wide mix of textures, constructions and color stories. Many suppliers are building on insights gained from the last market, tailoring new designs to meet evolving preferences for performance, sustainability and distinctive design.

Covington will spotlight a curated mix of diverse products. “Highlights include tactile prints, exaggerated textured solids featuring boucle and chenille, elevated upholstery jacquards, and a range of washable and bleach-cleanable fabrics,” said Stefanie Wotton, vice president, marketing and hospitality.

To address buyer demand, Covington is expanding its range of sustainable fabrics and developing more fabrics that are washable. “These types of introductions are increasingly essential for today’s upholstery buyers, as more end-use consumers lead busy lifestyles and live in high-traffic households,” said Wotton.

Renaissance Revival, globally inspired Indian block-print designs, and dimension are the top three trends the company will focus on this season.

Crypton

At Crypton, the company is launching its second textile collection with furniture and interior designer Kim Salmela. Elise Gabrielson, vice president of marketing, noted the entire collection is woven at Crypton’s North Carolina mill.

The company also is reaching in two new directions for the season, with Wildcraft and Aurum. “Wildcraft is a celebration of the tactile and the timeless, where natural materials and organic silhouettes speak of heritage and handcraft, while Aurum encompasses deeply saturated hues and inviting touch through handwoven textiles, marbled surfaces and velvet upholstery,” said Gabrielson.

She noted that the company is positioned to support its manufacturer, retail and distributor partners on a global scale. “Our textile mill in North Carolina allows us to serve customers focused on domestic sourcing and made-in-the-U.S. initiatives, while our offices in China and Belgium extend our reach to international markets,” she said. “This global footprint ensures that we can deliver consistent quality, reliable supply and responsive service.”

Culp has expanded its Vietnam fabrics featuring bouclés and novelty yarns, as well as its LiveSmart performance. It also is introducing a collection of solution-dyed, bleach-cleanable fabrics for indoor application.

Its continued expansion of its global footprint gives Culp customers flexibility in how and where they want to purchase fabrics. “The expanded Vietnam collection is a great option for customers who want near options for cut and sew and production,” said Tammy Buckner, senior vice president of design and marketing. “These are offered with our LiveSmart performance option, which allows our customers to carry our great performance options across all our product offerings.”

Culp will focus on three offerings this season: Dreamscape, organic movement that draws inspiration from soft layers or color and undefined shapes; Country Club, tailored charm inspired by quiet luxury and old English studies; and Natural Curiosities, grounded in nature with a design inspired by refined comfort and artisan structures.

Regal Fabrics

Regal Fabrics will present five destination-themed collection groups this season, said Andy Kahan, director of marketing: Provence (a French twist on the traditional modern cottage aesthetic), Monte Carlo (contemporary high-end vacation aesthetic), Stratton (classic New England rugged style), Silk Road (maximal boho-luxe pattern layering) and Writer’s Retreat (artisan-crafted vintage tropical).

Kahan said these introductions address current buyer demand by ensuring that people can pull colors from the body cloths in a way that makes it simple to use each item in cross categories. “Regal is always trying new techniques and bringing in trend colors and styles but doing so in an accessible way that makes it easy to slip any item into a current setting or use it as part of a major showroom revamp.”

Sunbrella.Mixtures of Color

Sunbrella

The focus of Sunbrella’s introductions centers on creating inviting spaces for shelter, comfort and entertaining. The company will be introducing more than 100 SKUs and revealing a new partnership for the year.

In October, the company introduced its sub-brand, Sunbrella Interiors, and is bringing those themes to the Interwoven show next week. “Our consumers are looking for comfortable fabrics that feel soft to touch, while still providing durability that allows it to be a part of everyday life,” said Amy Gilliam, design director.

She said Sunbrella has seen layers of texture in a variety of color, pattern, components and weave effects.

Ultraleather

Ultraleather is previewing new colors for its Summit collection, which will officially launch in the first quarter of 2026.

“Summit, a luxurious yet durable leather alternative, features moisture repellency, solar endurance, colorfastness, climate control technology and EPA-registered defense against microbes, bacteria and mildew,” said Caroline Oliver, senior director of trade marketing. “Summit’s blended backcloth includes recycled polyester and FSC/PEFC-certified rayon. Each linear yard contains approximately eight recycled plastic bottles, or nine bottles per meter.”

Oliver said buyers are looking for materials that look and feel luxurious while offering the performance to support an active household. “Summit has a soft and supple hand that belies its durability and ease of cleaning. The new range of colors gives upholstery buyers more choice in Ultraleather.”

Nice Link

Nice Link is focused on creating balance across the many genres represented within its line — tailored geometrics, organic jacquards, artisanal texture and performance plains — by curating them into a cohesive, mix-and-match collection.

Each pattern is designed to stand on its own, yet harmonize through shared color stories, material integrity and tactile depth. “This approach allows the collection to feel both diverse and unified, giving designers and retailers flexible combinations that tell a complete, well-coordinated story across all categories,” said Alexis MacGregor, senior merchandiser.

“These introductions were developed (to) offer a well-rounded assortment that feels cohesive and intentionally curated,” she added. “The goal is to make the designer’s and consumer‘s job easier by providing a collection that naturally works together, telling a complete and thoughtfully balanced story across all pattern types and color directions.”
