Crystorama was honored with the 2026 Open Arms Award by the Diversity Advocacy Alliance (DAA) at last month’s High Point Market, recognizing its commitment to inclusivity, community and creating a welcoming environment within the home furnishings industry. At the heart of this recognition is the company’s Tastemaker program, which brings together designers with diverse backgrounds, experiences and creative perspectives. Through collaborative initiatives, industry panels, educational programming and storytelling, the program creates opportunities for designers to connect, share knowledge, expand their visibility and grow professionally.

“Crystorama understands that a welcoming industry begins with the opportunities we create for one another,” said Benjamin Johnston, chair of the Diversity Advocacy Alliance. “From the hospitality of its showroom to the visibility its Tastemaker program provides designers from diverse backgrounds, Crystorama makes inclusion tangible.”

Brooklyn lighting design firm Roll & Hill made its High Point Market debut last month with an Interhall space that showcased its one-of-a-kind pieces and its love of American design and craftsmanship. Customization is a big part of its to-the-trade business (it has a roughly 12-week lead time), but it also works with retailers such as Lumens, DWR and smaller galleries, a company representative said during market. Earlier this week, Post Company, a design studio based in Brooklyn and Jackson, Wyo., debuted its Fente collection of perforated metal lighting, part of its ongoing collaboration with Roll & Hill. The Fente Collection, which includes six configurations, takes its inspiration from the architectural language of shutters, louvers and narrow window openings.

Lostine, a Philadelphia-based lighting studio, has unveiled Elsa Builder, an online 3D-configuration software for its customizable chandelier, the Elsa System, which allows designers and homeowners to customize their own fixture. There are more than 1,000 configurations – from the frame and finish to the pendants. The system also offers a curated selection of Lostine’s signature lighting designs, including Edmund and Celeste pendants.
