NY Now expands global reach for summer show
NEW YORK — This August at the Javits Cente, NY Now will showcase more than 90 brands and makers from 19 countries, giving thousands of buyers direct access to global product lines. The show is set for Aug. 2-4.
From hand-forged jewelry in Brazil to artisan ceramics in Sicily to beadwork rooted in South African craft traditions, many of the participating brands are supported by their home countries’ trade and export programs.
Beyond the individual exhibitor booths spread throughout the floor, buyers can explore three curated national pavilions:
- The Sicilian Pavilion — 15 companies spanning gift, lifestyle, jewelry and accessories
- The Ghana Pavilion — 14 brands with a broad range of gift and lifestyle products
- The South Africa Pavilion — 11 companies concentrated in jewelry and accessories in distinctive beadwork and metalwork traditions
“NY Now has historically been known for its international presentation, showcasing handmade, artisanal product alongside more mainstream brands from countries around the world,” said Dorothy Belshaw, CEO of NY Now. “Having product from almost 20 international countries brings a diverse aesthetic and point of view to the show.”
