Oliver Gal gets tactile in High Point with new Tactura collection

HIGH POINT- Art company Oliver Gal debuted Tactura, a new dimensional art collection that brings texture, relief and materiality directly into the artwork’s surface, at the recent High Point Market.
“We wanted to create art that has a physical presence in the room, not just an image on the wall,” said Ana Sánchez-Gal, founder & CEO of Oliver Gal. “With Tactura, the surface becomes part of the artwork. Light, shadow and texture change how you experience each piece, while the hand-finished details keep it deeply connected to the craftsmanship of our atelier.”
Sánchez-Gal said each piece begins with the art, with imagery selected for its ability to hold presence and transform a space. Material, form and dimensional relief then become part of that expression. Raised surfaces introduce sculptural depth, while hand-finished details add another layer of craftsmanship.
In Oliver Gal’s South Florida studio, skilled artisans apply details including gold leaf, diamond dust and hand-painted accents directly to the textured surface, creating subtle variation and an individual character within each piece.

According to the company, Tactura represents a natural evolution of the multidisciplinary approach that has shaped Oliver Gal since its founding by sisters Ana Sánchez-Gal and Lola Sánchez.
“Tactura represents an exciting next step for us creatively,” said Lola Sánchez, co-founder and chief creative officer of Oliver Gal. “We are interested in the relationship between image, material, light and space, and in creating work that continues to reveal something different as you move around it and get closer.”
The result is artwork designed not simply to be viewed but experienced as part of the environment around it.
From its South Florida studio, Oliver Gal combines an original image library with skilled artistic and artisanal production, giving designers the flexibility to create artwork that is designed to perform within real spaces.
