Southold, N.Y. boutique a ‘treasure trove’ of décor | Nancy Fire
Living out on the eastern end of Long Island, I find myself a bit of a trend scout as I wander across the south and north forks in search of interesting and original products that have a special meaning behind them.
Southold on the North Fork is my favorite destination because it is filled with the most creative home boutiques.
Most recently, I discovered The Bellwether, located at 53800 Main Street. It was founded by Stephanie Pinerio in 2024 but revamped this past June into a treasure trove of new and old home décor!
What caught my eye was a hand-painted collection of dinnerware painted by Leah Tinari that represents treasured heirlooms of time past, depicted by cameo necklaces, vintage linens and the quiet beauty of vintage textiles. Each piece evokes a treasured memento, delicate patterns, timeworn details and the romance of patterns made by hand and passed down through generations. — Nancy Fire, Nancy Fire Designs
