Wayfair adds to outlet count with Georgia location

BOSTON — Multi-channel home furnishings retailer Wayfair will open its newest Wayfair Outlet in Augusta, Ga., on Jan. 9.

On the Boston-based, digital-native retailer’s website, it notes that the 26,000-square-foot store will be located at 242 Robert C. Daniel Parkway at the Augusta Exchange.

It joins outlets in Texas, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio and New York and is part of the company’s continued push toward physical retail. Last year, Wayfair opened a flagship showroom in Chicago and has opened showrooms for its brands, which include Joss & Main, Perigold, Birch Lane and AllModern.

A Wayfair spokesperson told our sister publication, Furniture Today, that the store will sell returns as well as discounted items in good condition, across a variety of product categories.
