Arper relocates to trendy Chicago neighborhood
The Italian furniture brand has left the Merchandise Mart to open its own 4,500 sf showroom.
CHICAGO — Italian furniture brand Arper has left the Merchandise Mart in Chicago to establish a presence in the Fulton Market community, a former warehouse district now known for its hot food and entertainment scene.
Arper’s new 4,500 square-foot standalone showroom gives it an opportunity to reach a broader audience and interact more directly with clients and visitors from the surrounding community, the company said.
“We want to be part of a thriving and diverse neighborhood that serves both industry professionals and consumers alike,” said Arper USA CEO Amy Storek.
“We’ve had a presence in Chicago for over a decade, and it continues to be a key strategic market for Arper. Chicago has a deep history of design and architecture, so it is a logical market for our design brand. Chicago is also a central location that serves the broader region, with visitors frequently traveling in from other markets.”
The space, designed by Charlie Green Studio, is intended to show how Arper’s products can be used in a variety of settings, from the workplace to hospitality to residential. Its goal to create an inspiring and engaging space, which it calls “The Project of Living.”
The new space complements Arper’s existing showrooms in New York and Los Angeles, along with its manufacturing facility in High Point, N.C.
