Christopher Todd debuts character-rich furniture line with Moss Home
Designer Christopher Todd unveiled his new furniture and accent collection with Moss Home at High Point Market this week, a design-forward line marked by Todd’s signature playful details.
His olive ottomans, for instance, are shaped and colored like green olives and come in counter height (for a home bar) or in standard ottoman height. Todd said although he personally doesn’t like the taste of olives, he loves everything else about them and has incorporated their design into many of his pieces.

The LB Barbell bench has layers and exaggerated proportions with sides that resemble barbells. The stout Bennett Button ottoman is named after his late dog, Bennett, who had a stocky physique. The Vanessa chair has a subtle “crocodile tufting,” an irregular pattern that makes people look twice (it’s also available in a more regular grid pattern). And as a small wink to industry connections, several new pieces in the line are named after friends of Todd’s; a photographic hangtags feature Todd with the friend. The Bauer bed is named after Michael Bauer of Feizy, for example, and the Keeley sofa is named after designer Daniel Keeley.

The line was conceived about two years ago and had a soft launch last October. Five more pieces are in development for the fall market.
California-based Moss Home makes its furniture in California, and everything is customizable.
