East Fork expands tabletop lineup
North Carolina pottery brand East Fork introduced several ceramic tabletop and bakeware pieces at the Shoppe Object show in New York last week.
The company introduced a hand-painted dinnerware design to its lineup, executed by a small team of artists in North Carolina under the direction of company founder Alex Matisse. The painted pieces are available in three colorways: Verdant, Toile and Fawn. There are additions to its Matisse dinnerware collection as well. This collection is a tribute to artist Henri Matisse, who is the great-grandfather of Alex Matisse.
East Fork also added a new colorway for dinnerware and accessories: a high-gloss blue colorway called Nocturne, along with an amber hue to its collection of etched glassware. It redesigned its coupe bowl to have a little more of a lip and added two sizes to that collection of bowls as well as its oval platter.
The company introduced bakeware, a new category that will officially launch Aug. 28 and will include pieces like ramekins, spoon rests, utensil crocks and lidded jars. Pie dishes and more ovenware will launch in October.
Earlier this summer, the company announced plans to open a 2,000-square-foot store in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., its third storefront and largest retail footprint to date.
