Furniture, décor supplier to unveil reimagined showroom at High Point
Currey & Company says its new look “reflects the company’s mission to create spaces that enhance product display and encourage a productive atmosphere."

HIGH POINT — A familiar showroom is getting a new look for spring High Point Market.
Officials at Currey & Company have announced that they are debuting a new showroom, one that “reflects the company’s mission to create spaces that enhance product display and encourage a productive atmosphere for working and socializing.”
Located on the first floor of the original 1920 International Home Furnishing Center on Main Street, the renovated showroom features a new main entrance and an updated interior with walls, display platforms and pedestals donning Benjamin Moore’s Simply White (OC-117) hue. The renovations create continuity with the company’s other showrooms, according to company representatives.
Officials noted that Italian Carrara porcelain tile floors were laid alongside the existing white tile floors, and the showroom’s vintage mahogany wood floors have been refurbished with an eye on sustainability. Walls have been removed, and mirror has been added to columns to add openness and clear sight lines throughout the entire space. LED supplemental lighting has also been added for both energy reduction and light sustainability. The kitchen space has been moved, and a new serving bar has been created in the effort to “give customers the very best Southern hospitality experience,” officials said.
Two conference rooms, new information and customer service counters, staff and sales rep offices, and artifact and one-of-a-kind storage and packing rooms have been built as part of the renovation.
President Brownlee Currey said his hope is that the new space will create a buzz at High Point Market.
“One would hope it creates a reason for more people to come and see us and have an enjoyable experience while they do,” Currey said.
The ribbon-cutting for the new showroom will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 26.
