DALLAS – Rug company Jaipur Living has teamed up with Dallas designer duo Heather and Tyson Fujikawa for a new handmade collection from 100% PET.

The Fujikawa’s and their design business, called House Sprucing, have collaborated with Jaipur Living to introduce six new rugs across two handmade collections.

Tyson Fujikawa said the rugs all have rich, moody hues and a global sensibility with intricate patterns and rich textures that offer a fusion of vintage-inspired sophistication and contemporary aesthetics.

“We are passionate about global unity and celebrating artisans worldwide and want to strive to make their stories known through this collaboration,” he said.

Inspired by the timeless elegance of European design and embodiment of the spirit of love and connection, the House Sprucing x Jaipur Living collection draws its inspiration from the heart of Europe, specifically the city of Verona. The Fujikawas said they lived in Verona and fell in love with European design.

Aptly named Amata and Tesorino (or “beloved” and “sweetheart” in Italian), the new collections capture the unique romance and charm synonymous with iconic European cities like Paris, according to Fujikawa.

“Our goal for this collection was to create spaces that foster connection and celebrate love, artistry, and timeless design,” said Heather Fujikawa of House Sprucing. “This collection invites everyone to explore the beauty and connection that a rug can bring to their space. We are so excited to be working with the team at Jaipur Living who have brought their expertise and artisans to bring our vision to life.”

Designed and crafted in collaboration with the artisans at Jaipur Living, these new rugs are not only durable and sustainable but also feature bold, versatile designs that are neutral enough to fit into various styles and spaces seamlessly, according to Jaipur Living CEO Asha Chaudhary.

Chaudhary added that one standout feature of this collaboration is how the House Sprucing team embraced a new digital print technique.

“By layering a digital print onto a handwoven base and using images of actual vintage rugs, we were able to replicate the intricate look and detail of authentic vintage pieces, all while staying true to the centuries-old Turkish rug weaving traditions that inspire the collection,” she said. “This method allows us to offer the charm of vintage-inspired rugs at an accessible price point.

Jaipur Living will debut the new rugs at the upcoming High Point Market.
