Introductions at this week’s High Point Market ranged from statement-making pendants and sculptural floor lamps to rechargeable and outdoor-friendly designs, while collaborations with noted designers and global craftsmanship added depth to the category.
Century Furniture entered the lighting category with a range of lighting, including from left, the Nell sconce, the Halo double shade series, and the Marseille pendant. Arteriors joined the ever-growing rechargeable lamp category with, from left, Chanell (Calacatta marble), Struzzo (ivory embossed leather) and Verglas (English bronze, iron, etched glass shade). Designer Amber Lewis expanded Four Hands‘ lighting assortment with several new pieces including these two floor lamp designs.Currey & Company (left) and Four Hands each offered an elegant way to add lighting to bookcases using lamps. Geo Contemporary’s floor lamps are made from modular ceramic spheres. The lamp arrives disassembled and the number and color of the spheres is customizable.Fangio highlighted its ceramic and resin lamps that can be used outdoors. Corey Damen Jenkins designed a lighting collection for Eichholtz. Danish brand Oi Soi Oi featured its handmade, hand-dyed 100% silk lampshades, made in Vietnam (the company’s name means “oh my goodness” in Vietnamese). Adesso introduced a collection of printed lampshades in four patterns, right, and featured floor lamps with its supercharging systems. And coming to High Point in October: Kichler Lighting.
