New York – Mohawk Home is leveraging the Salt Life brand for indoor/outdoor area rugs and doormats to deliver fresh styles to the company’s portfolio.

Motifs celebrate “fishing, diving, surfing, beach fun and sun-soaked relaxation,” said John McLeod, senior vice president of sales.

Salt Life products complement the license’s broad line of home furnishings, from furniture to towels.

Also during New York Home Fashions Market last week, Mohawk Home introduced several new tufted and woven area and scatter rugs.

The selection includes new collections within existing categories – area rugs, scatter rugs, bath rugs, doormats and rug pads. Of special note is the Halcyon collection, which is designed to mimic a hand-knotted rug but is actually machine-made of polyester in a cut-loop construction. It comes in 12 patterns.
