Dezeen is set to launch the first Milan design week edition of Dezeen Dispatch next week, featuring our pick of the best events, exhibitions and hotspots at the annual gathering.

Those visiting Milan design week can pick up a free copy of the newspaper at select venues across the city, including Alcova, Nilufar, Palazzo Litta, DropCity, Issey Miyake, Superstudio Piu, Spazio Maiocchi and Base Milano.

"Quick and enjoyable digest"

"Dezeen Dispatch is meant to be a quick and enjoyable digest of Milan design week, providing readers with our edit of events to visit from the vast array of choices during the week," said Dezeen editorial director Max Fraser.

"While most will be familiar with reading our content on a screen, this 'grab-and-go' print publication offers a more tactile interaction with Dezeen's event-specific content, together with more in-depth features and opinions."

Written by the Dezeen editorial team, the 44-page newspaper-style publication will provide readers with a succinct snapshot of the key events, exhibitions, talks and hotspots worth visiting during the week.

"Milan design week is a key moment for the global design community and Dezeen Dispatch allows us to play an active role in shaping how visitors experience the city, guiding them towards the ideas, people and places that matter most", said Dezeen co-CEO Wai Shin Li.

Newspaper features interviews, features, events and listings

In our features, we consider the evolving phenomenon of Milan design week and question if the event can continue on the same trajectory for much longer. In parallel, we take the temperature of Milan's design scene for the other 51 weeks of the year, asking local protagonists what it is like to be a designer in Milan today.

The newspaper also includes an interview with American interior designer Kelly Wearstler about her new pieces for H&M Home, an affordable homeware collection debuting in Milan. And as the fair launches its new collectible design exhibition Salone Raritas, journalist Debika Ray interrogates the growing allure of one-off and limited-edition design.

To help visitors navigate the week, Dezeen Dispatch includes our roundup of must-see exhibitions, installations and events across Milan, as well as highlights from the flagship event, the Salone del Mobile trade fair.

For those who inevitably need some moments to recharge, we have garnered some city tips from a diverse group of local designers. We include their recommendations of favourite restaurants, bars and gelatorias, as well as cultural sites to visit and some of the best-kept secrets to enjoy during the design week.

Milan design week 2026 takes place from 20 to 26 April 2026 at various locations across Milan, Italy. See Dezeen Events Guide for more architecture and design events around the world.
