Progress and Kichler make unified presentation in Dallas
The two lighting companies, now both owned by Coleto Brands, shared a showroom at Lightovation last week.
DALLAS — Progress Lighting and Kichler Lighting, both of whom were acquired by Kingswood Capital last year, were together under one roof at the Lightovation show here last week.
Products from Kichler, which opened the off-site Kichler Experience Center last January, were shown alongside Progress Lighting in the Progress Lighting showroom in the Trade Mart, and its logo was prominently featured, along with that of Coleto Brands, the new corporate name for the two combined lighting companies.
While both Progress and Kichler will operate as part of the same corporation, each will continue as independent brands. Both brands will now be represented by a singular rep agency sales force with future capabilities to consolidate orders, invoices and shipments, Coleto said in a release.
Kingswood Capital Management acquired Progress Lighting in February 2024 from Hubbell Incorporated. Then in September 2024, they acquired Kichler Lighting from MASCO Corporation.
“Since the opportunity arose to bring these two formidable brands together, we’ve been excited about the combined impact we can have for our customers, trade professionals, end consumers and employees,” said Sean Veit, Coleto Brands CEO.
“Both brands have rich legacies, strong industry relationships, exceptional product portfolios and recognized commitment to customer service with highly complementary strengths that will enable us to deliver more compelling solutions to the market.”
Kristina Christopher, vice president of product management, will head design for both brands.
The Kichler Experience, which is located on Turtle Creek Boulevard, which is not far from the Dallas Market Center and includes product vignettes, a Landscape Lighting Lab, a large meeting space and other amenities, will remain open, according to Zackary Brown, director of national accounts. The plan is to use both spaces to provide different experiences, Brown said, with new products being the focus in the Trade Mart showroom and more interactive events at the Experience Center.
Among Progress Lighting’s market introductions were Lusail, a six-light chandelier with a dark gold foundry finish, three new pendants (Alisse, Graelyn and Stanza), and new exterior lighting options.
The two companies will have a bigger product launch in June, Brown said, and an even larger one in January 2026.
