Reissued 1970s lighting among products launched at Milan design week

Dezeen Showroom: as Milan design week 2026 draws to a close, we've detailed eight furnishings and lights that launched during the event, which were also covered on Dezeen Showroom.
This annual instalment of Milan design week took place from 20 to 24 April this year, during which a spectrum of brands debuted their new releases.
From lighting made by fusing molten aluminium with glass, to a chair girdled by a leather belt, the products debuted over the week are diverse in origin, aesthetic and functionality.
As well as launching new pieces, the city-wide event played host to installations, open showrooms and parties among other activities.

Vea tapware collection by Christian Haas for Villeroy & Boch
German industrial designer Christian Haas looked to the shapes of vintage perfume bottles when creating this range of tapware for design brand Villeroy & Boch.
The Vea tapware collection includes floor-mounted and countertop faucets that come in white, black and chrome, topped with buttons decorated with dark or light ceramic inlays.
Lauro lighting collection by Marset
Originally created in the early '70s by designers P Aragay and J Pérez Mateo, this collection of lighting by Spanish brand Marset has been reissued with the contemporary addition of a sconce light.
The Lauro lighting collection contains floor, table and wall lights, the former featuring tubular steel bases that coil onto the floor for support.
Furniture brand NII has released a duo of stools designed by the brand's creative director, Hirotaka Tako, including one taller barstool and one shorter multipurpose stool.
The Allround stool in its bar height featured a swivelling top and foot bar that matches the shape of its base, and the low stool's base contains hidden wheels that allow it to glide.

Italian furniture brand Bolzan's Milo bed is defined by its distinctive headboard, where wings at either end can be crimped inwards or outwards to imbue different "feelings".
The fully-upholstered frame can be opened out for a breezy feel. Conversely, it can be pivoted shut for a cosier, cocooning atmosphere.
Quincy sofa by Antonio Citterio for Flexform
The conventional angular form of traditional sofas was subverted in this winding sofa by Italian architect Antonio Citterio for furniture brand Flexform.
The Quincy sofa incorporates various modules, including chaise longues, which are all available in an extensive range of upholstery options.
Corsetto armchair by Cristián Mohaded for Molteni&C
Argentinian designer Cristián Mohaded chose to cinch this puffy armchair in with a leather harness.
Produced by Italian furniture brand Molteni&C, the girdled Corsetto armchair has a distinctive brown leather belt that blends into the base, and comes in various upholstery options to texturally contrast this.

Ryo bookcase by Nao Tamura for Porro
Designer Nao Tamura created this bookcase for Italian furniture brand Porro using flat planes of aluminium.
The Ryo bookcase encourages an interplay of light, shadow and reflection through its faceted structure, where niches and voids create opportunities for display and storage alike.
Formed by pouring molten aluminium into a glass vessel, Canadian design brand Bocci's latest release has a globular form that come in versions that can be suspended, placed on tables or attached to walls.
93 lighting was designed by Bocci co-founder Omer Arbel and is defined by its distinctive marbled surface and gentle glow.
