Ro Sham Beaux unveils first design collaboration

Lighting company Ro Sham Beaux has unveiled its new collection with Mabley Handler Interior Design, its first collaboration.

Transformations, as the collection is called, encompasses 25 SKUs featuring organic materials and “glamorous, deco-inspired forms with a heavy dose of metropolitan elegance,” the two companies said.

Inspired by recent trips to cities in France and Italy, the collection draws from the unexpected ways vintage forms are reimagined in contemporary designs while remaining true to the essence of both collaborators.

“As an artist, I view lighting as functional art pieces that make a statement and elevate an interior. They are the earrings of the home, offering intriguing illumination and materiality.,” said Ann Yancy, who founded Ro Sham Beaux 15 years ago. The collaboration, she added, starts a “transformational chapter” for Ro Sham Beaux.

“We first met Ann and her team when they launched Ro Sham Beaux at the New York Gift Show, and we immediately knew they were on to something special. Their light fixtures were both informed and gutsy. It was unlike anything else we’d seen in the market. We always seek out the new and unexpected in our designs with a reverence for the past and artful forms, so this collaboration felt organic and exciting,” said Jennifer Mabley.

Austin Handler added, “Our lighting collection with Ann and Ro Sham Beaux was born out of our desire to collaborate with people and brands that we love, because we feel that is the best way to harness the collective energy necessary to create beautiful things.”
