Veteran of legacy Bed Bath & Beyond chain joins leadership at BBBY
MURRAY, UTAH – A seasoned retail leader is joining Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. and The Brand House Collective in a key role.
Glen Cary has been appointed chief of stores for Bed Bath & Beyond and its brands. He spent more than 25 years in retail leadership, including more than a decade at the original Bed Bath & Beyond company where he served as Bed Bath & Beyond chief of stores as well as president of buybuy Baby. Today’s Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. owns both of those nameplates and has begun to roll out stores under the Bed Bath & Beyond Home concept.
“Glen knows our brands, our teams, and our customers and my expectations around the growth of our customer file and our financial performance,” said Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective, which was fully acquired by Bed Bath & Beyond last month.
In his new role, Cary will oversee the field operations – driving retail sales, establishing operational excellence, real estate strategy, store transformations and delivering consistent profitability, the company announced.
“I’m excited to come home,” said Cary. “Our focus is simple – deliver an exceptional in‑store experience, strengthen consistency, and ensure our stores operate as a powerful engine of growth and contribution.”
Cary’s position will also support all phases of growth across stores, digital, and franchising, said Marcus Lemonis, executive chairman of Bed Bath & Beyond.
“Glen is in lock step with the expectations we are setting for Bed Bath & Beyond and understands how operating great stores requires the highest standard of experience for both the employee and the customer,” added Lemonis.
The company currently owns the Bed Bath & Beyond, Overstock, buybuy Baby and Kirkland’s Home retail operations, as well as other related brands and websites and a blockchain asset portfolio inclusive of tZero, GrainChain and other assets.
