Waterford launches barware, partners with Visual Comfort in lighting
The crystal company is highlighting its crystal know-how, heritage and commitment to craftsmanship through new endeavors.
Although Waterford did not exhibit at the recent New York Tabletop Show, the company has launched new tabletop products and, at High Point Market this week, unveiled a lighting collection with Visual Comfort.
In tabletop, Waterford is offering select patterns of barware from its Heritage Mastercraft assortment in sets of two. Alana, Rossmore, Eileen and Lismore — all patterns from either the 1950s or ‘60s — are part of the launch. The patterns will also be available in small accent plates and select pieces of décor.
Waterford has also partnered with Visual Comfort to produce a small crystal lighting line, which was showcased at High Point Market. The Copper Coast pendant showcases two different Waterford cuts in conical-shaped pieces joined together by a metal band, which houses the integrated LED.
The Killarney chandelier is a scaled-down modern interpretation of the Waterford crystal chandeliers commissioned by the Guinness family in 1965 for the 900th anniversary of the founding of Westminster Abbey. It features chamfered clear crystal on a brass frame.
Also in the collection are cordless lamps and sconces.
Waterford has produced chandeliers in the past; its partnership with Visual Comfort is new. “It’s a great marriage of heritage and craftsmanship,” said Meredith Treybig, director of strategic partnerships for Visual Comfort. “It’s kind of a new era for Waterford as well.”
